I have roots in my main drain. What can you do about it?

There are two things that we can do for a root blockage of the main drain. First, we can pass a large rooter with a cutting head through the drain. The rooter will bore a hole through the roots and restore flow to your drain, but it can’t reach the sides or the top of the pipe so recurring blockages are to be expected. Second, we can use high-pressure water with a hydraulic cutting head to remove 95 to 100 per cent of the roots. The cutting stream of water is angled so that it hits the sides and the top of the pipe cutting off the roots where they entered the drainpipe. During the process, we use a camera to ensure that we get out as much of the roots as possible.

My garage floods whenever it rains. What can you do about it?

The flood is caused by rainwater getting into the garage pit faster then it can flow out. This is due to a partially blocked pipe or sand in the drain pit. We clean out the pit in the garage and pass a large rooter to clear the pipe and restore proper flow.

Do you clean French drains?

Yes. We use high-pressure water to wash out the silt and mud that builds up in French drains.

I live in a lower duplex. Whenever my upstairs neighbours use their dishwasher, the dirty water comes up in my kitchen sink. What can you do about that?

The kitchen drainpipe in a duplex usually receives the water from both kitchen sink drains. When a blockage starts to form, the water will come up in the nearest sink. We pass a medium to large size rooter down the drain from under the kitchen sink to clear out the blockage. When we are done, we fill up the sink upstairs and let it drain out while ensuring that the water does not come up in the sink in the lower duplex.

When I flush my toilet, water comes up through the bathtub drain. Is it normal for them to be connected and can you unblock it?

Yes, it is normal for the toilet and bathtub to be connected. The sinks, bathtub, shower stall and toilet all exit through a common pipe. We remove your toilet and pass a large rooter through this common drain to clear the blockage.

I accidentally flushed a small bottle down the toilet. Can you get it out and unblock the toilet?

Yes. We have a specific tool to clear toilet blockages and remove objects.

When I take a shower, water builds up around my ankles. Can you unblock the shower drain?

Yes. We remove the drain grill and pass our small rooter to clean out the hair and slime.

My plumber told me that I have a blocked kitchen stack vent. Can you unblock the vent pipe?

Yes. From the roof, we pass a rooter 40 feet down into the vent pipe to ensure that it is open and air is flowing through.
